Matthew Satz (b. Brooklyn, New York, 1971) is a contemporary artist based on the East End of Long Island. Alternately inspired by and haunted by the ghosts of the Hamptons, he refuses to accept their visual hypotheses as problems definitively solved. He insists upon new futures for painting as a living medium. This attitude has resulted in a radical use of unconventional materials as well as new methods of applying said materials. While some of these paintings exist in active conversation with historical works, others are more introspective, belonging to an inner dialogue between the artist and himself. He is recognized for his conceptually driven, process-oriented work. His work is held in public and private collections which include Yale University, Parrish Art Museum, Guild Hall Museum, Pollock–Krasner House and Study Center, and Sloan Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions the world over.
Rita Luu (b. 2004) is the inaugural recipient of the Pollock-Krasner House award for excellence in undergraduate art at Stony Brook University. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Luu is a printmaker and a poet who gracefully weaves her mediums into works of singular sensitivity. Luu's work takes from poetry and reworks itself into the visual field. With a dulled, washy, and pastel palette, she layers her work with the same contemplative nature of reading, paying attention to minuscule details that require entering into the artist's personal and emotional space.
Susan Vecsey (b. 1971) draws from the traditions of Color Field and landscape painting to create abstractions from perception. Living and working in East Hampton, NY, Vecsey continues a tradition of abstraction informed by nature that is this region's legacy. While she creates her canvases utilizing pouring techniques from the Color Field tradition, the landscape or the figure is often a starting point, a vehicle to explore form and color. Compositions are simplified to their essence to create a universal image. Vecsey works like a watercolorist, using thinned oil paint, carefully poured in a wet on wet process. No brushes are used in the application, to avoid brush marks, and to better show the beauty of materials. “With poured paint, timing is everything, and it is important to be decisive with it, and also ready to accept or reject the unexpected.” Born in Somerville, New Jersey, Vecsey was raised in a dual culture by parents who emigrated from Hungary to the US in 1969. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Barnard College, Columbia University, New York, and a Master of Fine Arts from the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture, studying under Graham Nickson. Vecsey has been exhibited alongside many notable artists including Josef Albers, Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler, James Brooks, Elaine de Kooning, Alfonso Ossorio, Charlotte Park, Perle Fine, James Abbott McNeill Whistler, Jane Freilicher, Frank Bowling, Mary Heilmann, David Salle, Sean Scully and Jeffrey Gibson. Vecsey is widely held in both public and private collections and is represented by Berry Campbell Gallery in New York.
David Slater is a painter whose richly layered, autobiographical works weave together personal memory, dreams, mythology, history, and social consciousness. Born and raised on Long Island, Slater studied art at the State University of New York at Buffalo and earned his master’s degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, where he also taught. After years of travel, activism, teaching, and artistic exploration, he settled on the East End of Long Island, where he has been a vital presence in the regional art community for decades. His vibrant mixed-media paintings, filled with symbols, narratives, and references to his own experiences, transform the canvas into a visual record of a life lived in pursuit of creativity and discovery. Slater’s work has been exhibited widely, including numerous solo exhibitions on the East End, and continues to reflect his enduring fascination with memory, spirituality, social justice, and the human condition.

Ghislaine and Lando Fremaux-Valdez are a collaborative partnership. Both are pastellists and portraitists. They imagine and execute each piece together, often drawing shoulder to shoulder. The drawings follow from long conversations about their relationship, the visual cultures of medicine and religion, and the responsibilities of figurative art. They are married and live in Lubbock, Texas.

"Keith Mayerson (b. 1966, Cincinnati, Ohio) paints familiar figures from American history and pop culture, personal scenes, and abstract “iconscapes.” Mayerson mines the histories and cultural resonance of his subjects—the Muppets, gay activists and icons, and national parks are all part of his extensive cosmology—transforming them into allegories of resilience and determination. Informed equally by his undergraduate education in semiotics and his decades of teaching cartooning in addition to fine art, Mayerson considers his paintings to be embodiments of national sentiments. Using meditative brushstrokes, he channels the French Impressionists, American modernists, and the Hudson River school in equal measure. Like a method actor, Mayerson immerses himself in media related to his subjects while he paints, inviting his subconscious to take over, leading to a practice that is at once research-based and psychologically-driven. His exhibitions are often installations of images that create larger narratives by juxtaposing paintings that speak to one another like panels in a comic. Since 2000, his ongoing, non-linear narrative My American Dream series has been presented in discrete exhibitions as chapters. He is a tenured professor of art at the Roski School of Art and Design at the University of Southern California, where he has also created a visual narrative art program. Marie-Claire Chabauty is a visual artist from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and the inaugural artist-in-residence for a joint residency program hosted by the Pollock-Krasner House and the Elaine de Kooning House. The two historic sites, former homes and studios to three of the most influential painters in American history, welcome Chabauty to complete a series of intimate portraits of both properties and their surroundings. Chabauty's approach typically begins with photography before extracting the formal elements out of the images through paint. From Chabauty's artist statement: "I mostly use acrylic. I paint directly on the surface with bold colors. By focusing on shapes, the subject is reduced to its formal element and becomes abstract. I paint all the elements of one color, then all the elements of a second color, and so on and so forth. It’s like painting by numbers without a drawing to follow. By doing so, I provoke distortions, simplifications, overlaps, omissions. I enjoy the surprise of that first layer. The painting becomes its own narrative. Finally, I figure out how to balance out beauty and oddity, detailed and simplified, mastered and raw. I think consciously about visual language when I paint; shapes, colors, textures, composition. I don't think about the meaning of the image during the process. I trust that the final painting will have enough elements, and enough space in between those elements, for the viewer to project their own thoughts and questions onto the painting. In retrospect, I see the following themes surfacing over and over again: spectacle/spectator, relationships, strength/vulnerability, mortality/memory, time, metamorphosis, paranormal, mysterious, monsters, hybrids, mythology."
Rosalyn Drexler (1926) es una artista visual, novelista, dramaturga e intérprete afincada en Nueva York. Considerada pionera del movimiento Pop Art estadounidense, su polifacética obra no es fácil de clasificar. Simon Waranch (1999) es un escultor afincado en Dallas, Texas.
